So much work shouldn’t be done by so few. Nurses do a great job and need to feel that they are supported by the community and by the NSW government.

  8. Comment. 1348 - June 5th, 2008 at 7:21 pm K Michaels says:

It is ludicrous that the people who have such a vital role should be pushed to the limit and paid such a nominal amount. It’s time to pay them what thy are worth and provide conditions the rest of us demand.

  9. Comment. 1349 - June 5th, 2008 at 7:17 pm jeff barton says:

Nurses put up with far worse pay rates and working conditions than they should. It’s way past time for the NSW Government to arrest this.

I have been a nurse for 22 years, I am satisfied with the pay but the stress and the beaurocratic rubbish we have to put up with in the effort to do our daily tasks is not sustainable…. there is NO support from my managers, nothing is ever easy… all requests have to go before a board or further managers and there is never an answer. contracts are precarious and i never feel safe and secure….. but I live my job and my ability to make someone feel better and safe.. I am not asking for more pay… but I do ask for job security and support.
