I’m a nursing student at the moment, and if conditions don’t improve by the time I graduate I’ll be going overseas as soon as possible..
What wonderful work nurses do - they need to be paid accordingly. Increase their pay.
Labour rode to victory on the back of Unions and Workers. Last year the pollies gave themselves a 6.7% payrise and 7% the year before. And they reckon 2.5% is good for all the nurses, firey’s, police and ambo’s. C’mon Rudd, it’s time to be fair and fair dinkum!! Give them all a pay rise!! Not a pay cut with high inflation!!
nurses deserve better hours, pay, & penalty rates especially night shift.Most nurses parents also & need to balance work with family comitments.
I fully support a pay increase for nurses. You can’t put a price on the work nurses do. Where would we be without skilled people in the nursing profession…

I was a nurse years ago and know how hard the job is at the best of times. As a mother I have nothing but praise for the many nurses I have had the honor to have met. I fully support them in their efforts to receive fair pay and conditions. Please give them a fair go.
Nursing is a hugly important job, i say better pay and better conditions are needed
I have to say if you spent money on increasing nurses wages instead of teachers you would find more people would want to take on a profession as a nurse.
As the daughter of a nurse who has left the industry due to unfair workloads and unfair pay and conditions, I know the terrible state the industry is in. The government needs to step in and fix this before it all falls apart irreprably.
